Trained at the Institute of Architecture of South Carolina (USA) then in Italy, Ola-Dele Kuku shows a beautiful retrospective of a multifaceted, extremely dense conceptual work, which unfolds in drawings, installations, collages and objects -sculptures. Ola-Dele explores the notions of structure, identity and education through art. He approaches architecture in its critical dimension, questioning both our ways of existing and our ways of thinking and living. The exhibition itself is like a crossing. We note, among others, Opera Doméstica 2, presented at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2016 when he represented his country of origin, Nigeria. In the basement, the conceptual artwork Agenda setting 10 commands attention. Composed of a large panel where open books are nailed, it was made on site for the gallery just after confinement. Behind this beautiful composition of political, religious, literary or philosophical pages, all carefully chosen, a great questioning: what happens to our values, what will be the outcome of the upheavals we are witnessing?
